In a recent trilogy of events, sustainability leaders & impact change makers were invited to not only discuss greener solutions, but to actively experience it. From presence at the Futur/io’s CSO Awards, to an educational forest walk and a transformative guided meditation concert, leaders were inspired to move beyond good intentions and to take real action. Thanks goes out to our partners & collaborators Futur/io, WKSS, Green Up and Michelle de Bruijn
Trilogy of pioneering & immersive experiences
CSO Awards: Nurturing Ethical Sustainability
Hosted by Futur/io, the CSO awards celebrated the remarkable work and achievements of prominent European Chief Sustainability Officers. Besides a celebration of outstanding contributions, Michelle de Bruijn, part of Tree.ly ethics committee, challenged the audience to embed ethics into modern day leadership. We share her opinion, that, ethics should not be a mere concept but a living, breathing entity intricately woven into the fabric of organisational life. This is why at Tree.ly we work with an independent Ethics Committee to help us set up and implement an ethical policy framework.
Forest Walk: Immersive experience with nature based solutions in our backyard
The forest walk was a great reminder that the nature we are committed to protect, can be just a stone's throw away. Local foresters from Davos, together with Wald Klimaschutz Schweiz and Tree.ly provided an educational lunch & learn session in a magical snowy setting. Sustainability leaders learned first hand about sustainable forest management. The outdoors experience was received as "by far the highlight of this week" by the CSO's. “You have no WiFi in the forest, but you feel more connected than ever." This sentiment from one of the participants captures the essence of Tree.ly's approach— proactively choosing for nature based solutions comes with a range of other benefits; building connections with nature, with each other and with the region.

Concluding the trilogy was a guided meditation concert, where impact makers practised cultivating a sense of awareness for the greater good. The meditation event encouraged leaders to cultivate a conscious type of leadership that starts from within. Amidst the global WEF discussions on 'rebuilding trust', Tree.ly offered a unique approach building on ancient wisdom from the east that’s over 2500 years old. Michelle de Bruijn, guided the audience through a transformative journey of interconnectedness and emotional engagement with the systems of planetary life.
